Bengals announce three moves, finalize 2022 coaching staff

The Cincinnati Bengals formalized two coaching moves and announced a third that had not previously been reported.

According to the team, three coaches will join the staff as they prepare for free agency and next season:

  • linebackers coach James Bettcher
  • secondary coach/corner Charles Burks
  • assistant offensive line coach Derek Frazier

Burks replaces Steve Jackson, who will not return. Bettcher replaces Al Golden, who took over as defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

Frazier will join Ben Martin as an offensive line assistant, a move that could signal an even greater emphasis on draft and development given the dire need to fix the entire unit.
