Best Virginia finalizes roster and coaching staff for 2022 TBT | WVU | West Virginia Mountaineers Sports Coverage

Best Virginia has finalized its roster for the 2022 basketball tournament with the addition of three players and an assistant coach. TBT begins play on July 16 with a $1 million prize for the winning team. Best Virginia will play in the West Virginia Regional at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, which begins July 24.

Best Virginia rounded out its 10-man roster on Tuesday night, adding former mountaineers Jermaine Haley and D’Angelo Hunter, as well as Ohio State alum Kaleb Wesson, to its roster. This gives the team a 10-man pool to call upon.

2022 Virginia Best Roster

2 Devin Ebanks 6-9
41 Jeans Flowers 6-8
10 Jermaine Haley 6-7
1 D’Angelo Hunter 6-7
21 Kevin Jones 6-8
15 Tanner McGrew 6-8
4Jamel Morris 6-4
5 Jaysean Paige 6-2
3 Juwan Staten 6-1
34 Kaleb Wesson 6-10

Struggling a bit last year and facing a last-minute shakeup, the 2022 version of the roster has a much better selection of players with size and rebounding ability to call on. Best Virginia will be a bit thin at guard, with Morris, Paige and Staten called upon to handle the ball on the perimeter, but Morris and Haley’s swinging abilities will help fill that gap.
