Camila Cabello and Charlie Puth recently revealed how their The voice partnership was born. The Voice returns to NBC this fall, with a mid-September premiere. Fans can’t wait to meet Team Camila.

The voice recently announced the celebrities the coaches have named as advisers for the Round of 16. In the announcement, it was revealed that Charlie Puth would once again be returning to the show as an adviser. For those who may not remember, Puth appeared on The voice seasons 11 and 16 as advisors to Alicia Keys and Adam Levine.

When asked how their partnership came about, Cabello acknowledged that she reached out to her team the same day. Even though it was a last minute decision, the two seem excited to show off the team.

“It’s a fun group, Camila is very good at pairing singers,” Puth said.

Since the singers will be partners for this season of The voice, questions of future collaborations always arise. As of now, the singers have neither confirmed nor denied having created a track together in the future. Instead, they joked about the desirability and the fact that their partnership on the show might spark dating rumors.

Camila Cabello explains how The X factor prepared it for The voice

Cabello occupied an interesting place on The voice panel this season. It may be a coincidence, but her arrival in the series comes as american idol winner Kelly Clarkson is gone. The main similarity between the two singers is that they both participated in their own shows before becoming famous. Many believed that the previous experience allowed Clarkson to advance in the competition.

“It gives me a unique and very useful perspective because I was kind of tested so early on,” Cabello said of her time at The X factor. “Like imagining at 15 being like and now singing for America.”

While many celebrities rise to fame in their late teens or early twenties, Cabello had a different experience because of the show. Even though the singer was young, she found ways to circumvent her fear while appearing on the show. Since rising to fame at such a young age, Puth has explained that she has had a “motherly” style of coaching. He noted that no one in the Camila team is nervous, as their coach doesn’t have a lot of nerves.

We look forward to seeing the singers selected for Team Camila this fall. The voice returns to NBC Monday, Sept. 19 at 8/7c.
