WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Vinh Nguyen announced the addition of Hannah Stinson to the coaching staff of the Hartford volleyball team. Stinson joins as an assistant coach after recently spending the previous two seasons at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
“Hannah is a great addition to our staff and will be a wonderful mentor to our team,” Nguyen said. “She comes from a very well organized and competitive program at Wesleyan University where she worked for head coach Ben Somera.”
At Wesleyan, Stinson helped develop three All-Americans and guided the Cardinals to the NCAA Tournament Regional Finals last season.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Stinson began her coaching career with a two-year stint at Lewis & Clark University. As a student-athlete at the University of Puget Sound, she was named the 2016 Northwest Conference Player of the Year and an NCAA Division III All-America honoree. During the 2017 season, she served as a student assistant coach and participated in practices, mentored student-athletes, and spoke with rookies.
Stinson is also head coach of the 18-1 level team at Husky Volleyball Club, New England’s largest volleyball club.
“Hannah had some great experiences at Wesleyan that prepared her for the next stage of her coaching career,” Nguyen said. “I look forward to working with Hannah and our program is lucky to have her on the sidelines!”
Stinson received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Puget Sound in May 2018. For more information on the Hartford volleyball team, stay on HartfordHawks.com for updates and follow the team on social media social (Twitter | instagram)
