Peru State Men’s Basketball finalize 2022-23 coaching staff – RIVER COUNTRY

(Peru, Neb.)–Men’s basketball head coach Bob Ludwig has announced the end of his coaching staff with the hiring of Damion Witty and Brody Anderson.

Originally from Ohio, Witty comes to Peru after recently working for two years as a graduate assistant at Webber International in Florida (NAIA). Prior to that, he worked as a marketing intern at Kent State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in business. He was most recently at Webber International; he spent time as a basketball skills development coach in the Toledo area.

Anderson comes to campus as a graduate assistant with several years of experience as a teacher in the Minnesota public school system in his home state. Most recently, he was a college assistant at Harris-Lake Park High School. Before that, Anderson worked with MN Nice AAU, Eagles United AAU and Marshall Hoops Club. He will be pursuing his Masters in Sport and Recreation Management at Wayne State.

Regarding the finalization of his staff for the 2022-2023 season, Coach Ludwig had this to say:

“We are thrilled to add these two coaches to our staff. Both got off to a quick start and will be extremely valuable in the academic and athletic development of our student-athletes,” said Ludwig.

“We look forward to getting our program back on track this season.”

The men’s basketball team will open its home season on Saturday, October 29 against Morningside with a scheduled kickoff at 4:00 p.m.
