XFL St Louis Coaching Staff and Director of Player Personnel Allocation

The XFL began in June with the announcement of Player Personnel Coordinators and Directors by the 8 new XFL franchises. Most recently, the St. Louis franchise’s new XFL head coach, Anthony Becht, announced that Bruce GradkowskiDonnie Abraham and Dave Boller would all join his team in February 2022.

Becht’s offensive coordinator will be coached by Bruce Gradkowski, an 11-year NFL veteran who, since retiring, began coaching at the high school level. Most recently, Gradkowski was named the head coach of St. Louis de Salas in Toledo, Ohio before accepting a job with his former Buccaneers teammate.

Becht’s defensive coordinator will be Donnie Abraham, a former Pro Bowl defensive back who was a former teammate of Becht’s for three seasons with the Jets. Abraham began his coaching career in 2005 coaching various high schools, the Arena League, the University of Illinois and most recently with the Orlando Apollos of the AAF. Abraham’s tenure in the XFL will be his second time as defensive coordinator.

Becht’s last position was that of director of Player Personel when he hired Dave Boller. Boller had stints in the AAF with the Fleet and the XFL with the Renegades. Boller has served as director of recruiting, scout, professional director in the collegiate and professional ranks. More recently, Boller took a job with Arizona State before quitting to join the XFL.

As Becht continues to strengthen his squad, it looks like he will continue to surround himself with familiar faces. With the XFL kicking off in February, XFL coaches will continue to build their staff and hopefully have a full staff ahead of the draft which is expected to take place in November. Whoever Becht chooses, XFL fans should be thrilled because now the pieces all come together for another incredible season of XFL football 3.0.
